Poperinge reopens Hoppelandwijk
170 local residents were present yesterday for the reopening of their neighborhood. The works started at the beginning of May and ended in August. What remains is the planting of trees and plants in mid-November, but the major works have been completed.
Five pillars
During the works Poperinge took into account five pillars. Walkers, pedals, traffic, parking and greenery. These five pillars must ensure a higher quality of accommodation and traffic.
For example, there is a reduction in speed in the district, more trees and plants are being planted, cycling comfort is improved and there are more comfortable footpaths.
