On New Year’s Day, the breaking news was announced: a singer will start as Popeda’s new soloist Ollie Herman. The information has been mixed on social media platforms. Officials of the band On Instagram pages and on the Facebook pages, the division of opinions is clearly visible. Some of the fans bluntly reject Herman’s choice.

Olli Herman is known as the former soloist of the Finnish band Reckless Love and the Swedish band Crashdïet, in addition to which he has had a solo career in Finnish. He himself said in the press release that he was surprised by his choice as Popeda’s front image.
– The feeling was like being hit on the head with a halo, i.e. confused, maybe a little crazy, but at the same time also very taken and flattered. I thought that no one could have imagined this phone call just a moment ago, but it just so happened that Costello asks me to be the singer for Popeda. I only had one possible answer to give: Yes, of course I will come, Olli Herman said in the press release.
The band will perform at their only spring gig at Tavara-asema in Tampere on Saturday, March 30. The band will be seen at festivals during the coming summer.
