The 85-year-old head of the Catholic Church recently reported that doctors had instructed him to minimize stress on the joint because of the pain in his right knee. Recently, the Pope often limped during his public appearances and had to cancel events time and again. But Francis has not yet appeared in public in a wheelchair.
According to the Vatican, the church leader may again have to resort to a wheelchair in the future. It is difficult to make a prediction of how the knee will evolve. The upcoming events will take place as planned.
Francis had said in an interview with ‘Corriere della Sera’ this week that he was suffering from a ligament injury in his knee and needed a small injection. The injection was reportedly performed on Tuesday.
