Sport in Italy is supposed to rest

After the death of Pope Francis, Serie A moved all games planned for Saturday in the Italian Oberhaus. The reason for the change of game plan is the great funeral ceremony for the died head of the Roman Catholic Church for Saturday. Guests from all over the world are expected to burial. Sports events in Italy will stand still in many places on this day.
The top game by league leader Inter Milan against AS Rome, Como 1907 against Genoa CFC and Lazio Rome against Parma Calcio are affected. Competitions in Italy are also likely to be canceled in other sports on Saturday. President Giovanni Malagò from the National Olympic Committee of Italy called on all national sports associations and organizations based on a current government decree of letting all events rest on April 26th. At the same time, a moment of silence is to be held in memory of the deceased Pope at all competitions that still take place. According to the Vatican, Pope Francis had died on Easter Monday at the age of 88. The Argentinian was also connected to football.
