Pop-up store helps Ukrainians get clothes

They can pick out clothes for free, if they have a buddy. That’s someone from here helping them. And the pop-up store was able to help a lot of people in need in a week. It is an initiative of a number of service clubs, which started when they converted an old wing of a residential care center to receive Ukrainian refugees.

“We saw that people arrived there with a small backpack that didn’t contain much. It got warm, we saw people walking around in their winter clothes. And then we said, we are going to collect clothes as soon as possible,” says Maigret Jansen of Pop Up Ukraine .

First for the refugees in the WZC, but soon there was much more clothing. And since last Wednesday, they have gathered everything for Ukrainian refugees from all over the region, in a large warehouse.
