Johan Derksen finds it incredibly sad what is being done to Marieke Elsinga as a naive TV talent with unbridled ambitions. “She allows herself to be used for a bullshit program.”
A lot of ambition, but very little experience: it’s a dangerous combination. Marieke Elsinga really wants to make big TV shows, but is she actually suitable for that? One thing is certain: she takes extremely bad advice. After the enormous debacle of Everything is Music, she has now been offered another infantile TV show.
Make the jump
In the program The Jump, Marieke throws candidates off a bridge if they give an incorrect answer. The men of Today Inside came up with their TV review last night. Wilfred Genee: “René van der Gijp, make the jump.”
What a bad format again, says René van der Gijp. “Yes, I’m glad you asked this question, Wilfred. Yes, shit program. I don’t like it.”
Wilfred: “We don’t have a fragment, but I think: I’ll ask if you’ve seen it.”
René: “Yes, no, of course I watched it. In any case, looking back.”
Morons
Johan Derksen does not understand why RTL is broadcasting this. “Do they think on that commercial TV that the Netherlands is made up of retards?”
Wilfred: “Yes, probably!”
Johan: “There are programs in which you flicker through a hatch, you have programs in which you are pushed in by a ball.”
René: “Pushed into the water by a ball.”
Johan: “Yes. Then you lie in the water. Now there is another program by Jan on SBS.”
Psychologists
Johan is referring to De Allies, in which people are psychologically tortured, much to the annoyance of Caroline van der Plas. “I haven’t seen it, but I have already read and I heard that man on TV chatting that there is a platoon of psychologists ready to care for people with mental problems.”
Wilfred: “Because you must first seek each other out and then betray each other.”
Johan: “Is it an art to bring people together and then uncover all the bad qualities?”
‘She allows herself to be used’
The All-rounder VIPS is also such a TV monstrosity, Johan continues. “Then, to my great dismay, I see Roos (Schlikker, ed.), who no longer wanted to sit here because of my statements, she left on principle, and she is now standing in De Alleskunner doing tricks. My God! I think it’s almost an insult to the viewer that kind of nonsense.”
And according to Johan it continues. “So now poor Marieke is allowing herself to be used for that crap program again.”
Wilfred: “Yes, that surprised me too.”
