Pond poles and dixies can’t be dragged on for carnival

Now that the light is green for the carnival, it is not only busy for the beer brewers and confetti makers. Rental companies of outdoor toilets must also pull out all the stops. In many places in our province, dixies and toilet posts are placed. And that means big crowds for Paul Antonis and his men.

“We do what we can”, says Paul Antonis of the rental company of the same name from Goirle. Together with his colleagues, he is busy on Thursday to install about thirty toilet cabins and toilet posts for the Mega Outdoor Carnival Party in Udenhout.

“Luckily we have a lot to drive again. After playing marbles and playing hide-and-seek in the workshop, we are happy to be able to play outside again. After all, this is what we do it for”, Paul sounds exuberant.

The event industry has been hit hard in recent years. Paul also noticed the consequences of the corona crisis. “We still had some work to do on the rental of toilets at the GGD test streets. And luckily the construction continued as usual, but it was nowhere near what we were used to.”

Visitors to the open-air party in Udenhout don’t have to worry about their small or large message this coming weekend. According to Paul, there is enough capacity. “It was also a great try-out for us for the festivals around Easter.”
