With its artistically inspired FW23 collection, POM Amsterdam invites you to awaken your inner creative potential. The collection is inspired by Joan Miro, Jan Sluijters and Gustav Klimt – visual anecdotes about their art are a common thread throughout the ‘Art Edits’ collection. The L’Atelier collection envelops its wearers in ultra-feminine silhouettes with artistic prints, eye-catching sequins and decorative stitching as details.
A modern interpretation of classic craftsmanship
The dreamy prints of the L’Atelier collection come into their own with flowing materials – satin, mesh, georgette with lurex threads and striking fabrics with striking surface structures, as well as woven jacquard, poplin or cotton qualities with a burnout finish. Volume is a leitmotif in this collection – with a feminine twist. The choice of colors varies from earthy tones to fresh and bright nuances with fluorescent accents.
Unleash the artist in you
The styles are designed by POM founders Lisbeth and Violet Lotgering – they used hand-painted prints and incorporated a balanced mixture of antique and modern art. “This autumn/winter collection draws on various art movements, such as Impressionism and Art Nouveau. This season the focus is on ‘The Art of Dressing Up’ – unleashing your inner artist. We want to empower women with our colorful styles,” says Violet. This theme goes hand in hand with POM Amsterdam’s slogan: Dare to be colourful.
POM Amsterdam has constant ambitions in terms of sustainability. “Our ongoing commitment to sustainability is reflected in L’Atelier in the form of sustainable materials such as organic cotton, EcoVero and recycled polyester. In 2023 the collection will consist of 70% sustainable fabrics.”
Le Mirage, L’Eclat and Tresor
The three art edits from July, August and September feature oversized silhouettes, voluminous puff sleeves and fitted mesh dresses. Known for its self-designed prints, POM Amsterdam is expanding its collections with a wide range of plain-colored essentials. These plain-colored pieces are often embellished with special details such as embroidery and carefully selected prints.
