Reverse Prince’s Day with the people at the center

Dear King, or may I, as a contemporary, keep it at: Dear Willem-Alexander? Let’s park the decorum, just like the Golden Coach, because that only gets in the way. Dear Willem-Alexander, we are going to do things very differently this year on Prinsjesdag. We will keep the speech from the throne, because it is good that you address the people a few times a year – more often, too. There is already so much uncertainty, let’s not also have a discussion about the usefulness of the royal family. You’re here, we’ll pay you royally, jump out of that carriage and make sure we find each other again. This country longs for fraternization. Only together can we possibly get the Netherlands back on track.
