A Berlin police officer had an accident on duty with his motorcycle and was seriously injured.
The traffic control service officer was deployed on Friday afternoon as an advance command for a convoy of vehicles, a police spokesman said on request.

On the Straße des 17. Juni in Berlin-Mitte he crashed into the car of a woman who braked to turn around. The policeman was seriously injured and taken to a hospital.
According to the spokesman, he was initially unable to provide any further information on those involved in the accident or the nature of the injuries.
