Crime Commissioner of the Helsinki Police Anne Hietala has told To Yle The shady side of the Mobilepay payment application.

– Mobilepay has been used for longer in continuous domestic violence situations and stalking cases, where all means are already in use, Hietala tells Yle.

According to Hietala, the application has also been used in pre-trial examinations where the crime has been manslaughter or even murder.

With the Mobilepay application, you can send pictures and messages when requesting or sending money.

In addition to the fact that contacts made with the application have been used as a basis for issuing a restraining order, according to Yle, the restraining order has also been violated using Mobilepay.

Blocking users is not possible in the current version of the application. However, this feature will be found in the new Mobilepay application that will be released on January 23.
