Shortly after midnight on Friday, police officers stopped a man with a knife on Friedrichstrasse just before Unter den Linden boulevard.
What exactly the man did with the knife is still unclear. However, police found blood spatter at Checkpoint Charlie. Was there a bloody confrontation here shortly before?
The man, who may have come from the homeless milieu, was transported to a hospital under police escort. The police interviewed three witnesses at the scene.
