A man armed with a knife attacked employees and visitors in the Jewish Hospital on Heinz-Galinski-Strasse on Friday afternoon. According to BZ information, he was stopped with two shots by the police.

Little is known about the circumstances. The police are still on site, a spokesman has now confirmed the incident.

It is still unclear whether other people were injured in addition to the attacker. Before the shots were fired, the unidentified perpetrator is said to have attacked employees and visitors. The police are said to have received several emergency calls.

The man is said not to have responded to the request to put the knife down. According to eyewitnesses, at least two shots were fired. According to unconfirmed information, the attacker suffered leg injuries.
