Seven tips have been received about the abuse of two boys (14 and 15 years old) on the Oostermoer in Assen in the night of 5 to 6 May. Moving images were broadcast on Tuesday in the TV program Opsporing Requested.
“Those tips may contain useful information and are therefore being investigated further. Unfortunately, none of the group has reported yet. We call on the suspects to do so. The investigation into the assault is continuing,” said a police spokesman.
The two victims cycle home from the Liberation Festival on the Baggelhuizerplas in the night of Friday 5 to Saturday 6 May around 1.30 am. “On the way, they come across a group of young people at the Oostermoer who attacks them out of the blue. Both boys are punched and kicked and injured.”

The images that have been shared show that the group consists of eleven people, including some girls or women. “It is striking that one of the people in the group is walking on crutches. We also know that one of the persons is wearing a bright red-orange colored coat.”
