Police search Rijkerswoerdse Plassen with sonar boat for suspect in killed Samantha case NOW

The police searched all day on Friday with a sonar boat on the Rijkerswoerdse Plassen in Elst for 41-year-old Arnhemmer Martijn. He is suspected of being involved in the death of his girlfriend Samantha. She was found dead on Ascension Day on the street near their home in the Cuijkstraat in Arnhem South.

In the morning, the search was carried out on the recreational lake just south of Arnhem, in the afternoon the search continued on the more eastern natural lake. A police spokesman has yet to say anything about the outcome of the search. Nor is it why, after last weekend’s search, the search was again made in the recreation area on Friday.

The 41-year-old Arnhemmer has been missing since the incident in the Cuijkstraat in the De Laar-West district, not far from the Rijkerswoerdse Plassen. He is said to have left their house on foot, without a coat and wallet.

Police first distributed his photo and then his name in an attempt to locate the man. He would be a danger to himself and to those around him. Neighbors of the man told that Martijn and Samantha regularly went walking and cycling around the recreational lake.
