Shots may have been fired at the Verzetslaan in Purmerend tonight around 9 p.m. One of the temporary homes there is currently being searched by the police.
A police spokesperson said that a report of a shooting was made around 21:10. “We take this report so seriously that the police are on the scene with several units.” It is not yet known whether or not there was actually shooting.
Temporary housing is located on the Verzetslaan. Police are investigating one of those homes following the report. No arrests have been made, the spokesman said.
Past Incidents
This summer several things have happened at the temporary homes on the Verzetslaan. In a short time there were several fights and stabbings. The emergency housing is behind the fast food chains McDonalds and KFC.
