The police stood at the door of a house on Tartinistraat in Tilburg on Saturday morning, after a report had been received that someone had been seen there with a firearm. A man inside was so frightened by the police that he tried to run away quickly, but he didn’t get far.
The officers had a hand on their weapon when they knocked on the house, a 112 correspondent saw. A woman opened the door and was escorted out. A man was also taken from the house.
The third person present tried to escape via the roof of a shed. He was stopped by the police. The man ultimately turned out to have nothing to hide, a police spokesperson explains. He was so shocked by the police at his door that he ran away.
The police found nothing suspicious in the house. Afterwards, according to a spokesperson, it turned out to be a false report. “After a conversation we left there.”
