Police roll up drug lab in Veeningen, five people arrested

The police found a drug lab in a building at Fort in Veeningen last night. The building contained goods and barrels possibly containing chemicals that could be used in the production of synthetic drugs.

The police raided the building around 2:30 am last night. Four people were arrested in the area: a 48-year-old woman from the municipality of De Wolden, a 61-year-old Amsterdam resident and two men aged 30 and 26 without a permanent place of residence.

An 18-year-old man from Utrecht was also arrested during the investigation at a later date. It is being investigated whether there is a connection between this arrest and the discovery of the drug lab. The five suspects are in custody and are being interrogated. They have no contact with the outside world.

The drug lab will be dismantled by the National Dismantling Facility and the police will conduct further investigations.
