Police remove 60 visitors Kamping Kitsch Club for drug possession

Of the 3000 checked partygoers, a small minority, 57 people tested positive for drugs. They were left with an immediate amicable settlement that they could pay on the spot. Another 150 others took a false positive drug test. That is, they had recently taken or carried drugs before. The police encountered all kinds of drugs, mostly pills or powder, but also cannabis. According to the corps, the users tried “often very inventively” to hide the banned substances. The police speak of a visitor number higher than 22,000.

Zero reports of pawing

The police also arrested five individuals for disturbing public order, whether or not together with public drunkenness. They stay in the cell for a maximum of twelve hours. One other offender was arrested. The festival’s special hotline was not supposed to deal with reports of physical assault. In addition, two visitors ran into an official report for assault and battery. Ten people were sent to hospital by the medical post for further treatment or examination.

No major incidents

“This large-scale order service for more than 22,000 visitors went smoothly and without major incidents during the influx, throughout the day, and during the exit at midnight,” explains the VLAS police zone. “There was once again good cooperation between all partners who participated in the preparation and implementation of this safety approach.”
