Agents have drawn their pistols at the arrest of a group of young burglars in Illikhoven. One of the teens had drawn a weapon, which turned out to be an air rifle.
That happened in the night from Sunday to Monday, but the police did not announce it until Wednesday evening. The suspects are 15, 17 and 18 years old.

The boys were noticed when they drove away from a house late at night in Roosteren on two scooters with a television. Because they were driving towards Belgium, the police decided to wait for them on the road to Maaseik. A chase ensued, during which the police had to drive through the meadow to avoid a few posts.

During that ride, the co-driver of a scooter at one point pulled the air gun. The officers then drew their own pistols, after which the boys, aged 17 and 18, surrendered. The third suspect was arrested a day later.
In addition to the burglary, the boys on the moped were also found to have a knife with them. The driver had also used drugs.
