Just after 11 am a collision between a car and a motorcycle took place on the Gooilandseweg near Weesp. The motorcyclist was a citizen police officer who was working at that time.
Bystanders immediately started CPR, after which emergency services took over. Their commitment was no longer to benefit: the agent died of his injuries on the spot.
Driver of the car has been arrested
The motorist, a 56-year-old man, has been arrested, a police spokesperson said. “That is common in the event of serious accidents,” the spokesperson explains. He was also injured and was treated in the hospital.
The Traffic Accident Analysis (VOA) of the police is currently investigating the accident.
