Drumspirit consists of snares, tenors, base drums, samples, guitars, cimbal and of course a lot of drum violence. The youngest participant is 13, the oldest 25. “We couldn’t believe it ourselves, with all those strong groups,” says member Thibe Capon. Marthe Tienpont adds: “We have worked on it super long and that is now being rewarded.” Alexander Couckuyt also proudly looks back: “I have thrown all my energy in it and I am glad we won. That was the ultimate experience.”
The new season of DrumSpirit will start in September. “All members are welcome, we have people from all over South West Flanders,” concludes Beeckman.
