Sounds were imitated, to rule out certain things, I understood. I don’t know anything else, but they think they didn’t have to come back again.” The police do not want to say anything about the findings in Grootebroek.

Painter Marco Schmidt from Enkhuizen is working across the street on Monday. He is not frightened by the visit to the other side. “I’m from Amsterdam and I’m used to something. I have sometimes had to lie flat on a roof to avoid the bullets. Of course I don’t know what happened, but it is sad. People have an increasingly short fuse and are becoming Nowadays they get shot over fries. It doesn’t mean anything anymore.” The resident has just come home. “We’ll probably hear what comes out of it at some point.”

Other local residents were already at work on Monday morning. They react with surprise at the new visit from the police. “Research? Again? Is that still useful?” The neighbor saw the victim being lifted from his new home a month ago. “On the way to the ambulance. He lay trembling on the stretcher, covered in blood. That wasn’t good. I think it’s all taking a long time, and I’m afraid we’ll never find out what happened on the other side… “
