The police found a possible firearm on the Oostereinde in Winschoten on Friday morning. Behind a bus shelter, officers found something that is still being investigated whether it is actually a real gun.
A spokesperson for the police said this on request. The possible firearm has been seized, but no one has been arrested. Officers were alerted by a passer-by.
