In Geeuwenbrug, an officer shot dead a broken-out cow this morning. A manhunt has been going on for the animal since last night after it broke out several times. The cow also walked on the public road.
The police say they tried to catch the animal several times. In the last catch, a boy was injured because the horned cow attacked him.
After the boy was injured and had to go to hospital, it was decided to euthanize the cow. That was done by an officer of the police dog team. A community police officer says on Instagram that it is a ‘less fun’ decision that ‘sometimes has to be taken to prevent further accidents’.
