Police dog discovers more than 2000 kg of methamphetamine at the US-Mexico border | Abroad

The large numbers of drugs were hidden in a truck near the border with Mexico. The police dog ‘Milo’ discovered no fewer than 148 bundles of methamphetamine. Shelly Howe of the US Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) calls it a “monumental confiscation” and “a victory against the drug cartels that encourage addiction in the United States.”

The San Diego Sheriff took the time to thank police dog Milo in a tweet. He calls the dog a “very good boy”, and also shares some photos.

Four men from Tijuana, Mexico have now been arrested for conspiracy to distribute the drugs. If found guilty, they could face up to life imprisonment with a $10 million fine on top of that.
