Police took the suspect, Smiley Martin, into custody at a local hospital, where doctors did not consider his injuries serious enough to stop the arrest. Martin is the brother of Dandre Martin, 26, who was arrested Sunday as a “related suspect” in the case, police said. Dandre Martin was arrested on suspicion of assault and illegal firearms possession.

The gunfight started in the streets around the Sacramento Kings basketball club sports center, not far from the Capitol, near closing time of the bars. Nothing has been said about the assignment yet. According to local media, an argument in a cafe preceded it.
