The person found this afternoon by a special unit of the police in the Noordhollands Kanaal in Alkmaar is the missing Frank Droog. This is reported by the police. “We exclude that he died from a crime.”
From this morning, the Alkmaarder was searched for, which has been since March 23 was missing. The reason they police combed the water there was because this is near his home – on a route he may have taken.
Police are not commenting on the cause of death. In the search are boats with sonar equipment and dogs used. Police say: “We would like to thank everyone who helped in the search for Frank and wish everyone who knew him a lot of strength with this loss.”
The relatives of the deceased Alkmaarder have previously informed NH News that they want to be left alone and do not speak to the press.
