Agents raided houses in Helmond and Eindhoven last night around half past four. One person was arrested in both places. It is not yet known why the police carried out the raids.
In Helmond, an arrest team forced open the door of the house and stormed inside. The suspect was probably sleeping and tried to flee via the balcony, but was immediately arrested.
At the same time, a raid also took place in Eindhoven. Someone was arrested there too. The police received support from a team of officers from Limburg.
After the arrests, detectives searched both homes. It is not yet known what exactly they were looking for.
It is striking that both raids took place around half past three. The general law for entry states that the police will not enter a home before six o’clock, unless there is an exceptional situation.
