Police chiefs notice an increase in group violence against emergency workers and public transport staff

The chiefs of police of the Flemish and Brussels police zones have noticed a significant increase in violence against professions of general interest, and in particular against police personnel, emergency workers and public transport staff. But violence by youth groups, hooliganism and violence by organized crime groups are also increasing. This is evident from a report by the Flemish Peace Institute, in which more than three-quarters of the Flemish and Brussels police zones answered a questionnaire.
