Following complaints from residents, the police conducted targeted checks on young skippers on the Reeuwijkse Plassen today. During the police surveillance, quite a few violations were found.
The police eventually issued two fines for sailing without a license, three times for the fact that the fast motorboat was not registered, once for not having the required life jackets and for sailing without a proper fire extinguisher on board. In addition, warnings were issued for skippers who sailed too fast, the maximum speed is 6 kilometers per hour.
