The police in Echt chased and arrested two thieves in the night from Sunday to Monday. A third suspect was arrested a day later. Two of them are minors.

Police were tipped off on Sunday after a possible home invasion in Roosteren. When officers saw two boys with the given description riding a scooter, they gave chase. “When they saw the police car, they ran like a rocket,” the police said on social media.
Pursuit
‘At some point they saw that the co-driver had an object resembling a firearm in his hands. As a result, the colleagues were forced to draw their firearms,” the police wrote. The driver then stopped and dropped the scooter. The co-driver dropped the weapon, which later turned out to be an air rifle.’
15 years
The two suspects, aged 17 and 18, were arrested at the scene. A day later, a 15-year-old young man was also questioned by the police. His part or involvement is not entirely clear.
To justify
The air rifle, the ammunition, the scooter (helmets) and the knife were seized. The three boys have to answer to the judge inside.
