Police catch two burglars red-handed in Kortrijk

Shortly before five o’clock yesterday afternoon, a police patrol saw two men behaving suspiciously in the Koning Albertstraat, right in the center. They had just tried to break into a house but were startled when they saw the police patrol. The two fled on foot, but police arrested them.

Nearby was a car with French number plates, containing burglary equipment, cannabis and the suspected loot from previous burglaries.

The two have been arrested and the police are investigating. CCTV footage shows that they tried to break into at least three more houses or apartments.
