The police broke up a group of arguing people at Emmen station tonight around 7.30 pm. One person has been arrested for assault, a police spokesman said.
The group, which consisted of about fifteen people, caused unrest at the station, including walking on the track. Officers who arrived on the scene sent the troublemakers away, but because they struggled a bit at first, a baton was used.
It is unknown what sparked the unrest.
