Police arrest thirteen people during demonstrations against the arrival of the Israeli president

According to the police, the demonstrations were generally ‘good and peaceful’. However, a small group briefly created a ‘grim atmosphere’ on Waterlooplein. Thirteen people have been arrested, including for disturbing public order and vandalism. The police write that stones were thrown and a police bus was also destroyed. The suspects are currently still in custody and are being interviewed by the police.

Eggs and fireworks

A small group of demonstrators threw eggs and fireworks on Waterlooplein. Police vans have been defaced with paint and the mobile unit had to remove people from a police van. ME dealt blows with a baton.
