The police arrested a 23-year-old man from Wildervank on Wednesday morning for the robbery of a supermarket on Zonnelaan in Groningen.
The robber entered the branch of supermarket chain SPAR around 3 p.m. on Tuesday. Under the threat of a stabbing weapon, he would have taken a hold of the cash register.
The suspect then fled. The search immediately after the robbery turned up nothing, but the police were able to arrest a suspect the next morning.
The man has been transferred to the station and is being heard.
