The police arrested the parents of a deceased baby in Helvoirt on Monday evening. The child was only a few weeks old when it died earlier that day in a house on Schoorstraat. Because the cause of death is unknown, the police started a major investigation.
The police confirmed the arrests to Omroep Brabant on Tuesday morning. “They have been arrested in connection with the death. We cannot say more about it now.” It concerns a father of 39 and a mother of 34 years old.
The baby was resuscitated, but to no avail. The police are investigating the circumstances of the baby’s death.
