Police are still looking for suspects of home robbery in Zaandam last summer

The police are still looking hard for the suspects of the robbery at the City Nursery in Zaandam on August 30 last year. The 57-year-old resident of the home was tied up by two men and injured.

At 4.30 am that Tuesday morning, the 57-year-old resident comes home. He is overpowered by two robbers who tie him up and beat him up. A little later they leave the house with a box full of money.

When the two men are gone, the resident manages to free himself and calls the police. The robbery was reported to police at 6:45 a.m. The man was injured and taken to hospital.

The police are no longer looking for witnesses to the robbery, says a spokesperson about the images that were released today. “We are looking for the name of the suspect in the picture,” he says. “We hope someone recognizes him and knows his name.”

The images are now being shared, more than six months after the robbery, because the police have not yet succeeded in identifying his identity in other ways. “The suspect also has privacy and we make an assessment every time, but the other ways have not led to results,” says the spokesperson.
