While the 2019 jewel theft trial in the Green Vault against six suspects from the Remmo clan is already underway at the Dresden Regional Court, the public prosecutor’s office and the police are now looking for another suspected perpetrator.
“Based on the evaluation of recordings from the video surveillance system in the historic Green Vault, there is an initial suspicion that a previously unidentified person spied on the scene of the crime between 10:03 a.m. and 12:21 p.m. the day before the crime and made the knowledge gained available to those directly involved in the crime,” said a spokesman for the prosecutor’s office on Wednesday.
The man is said to have stayed in the jewel room on November 24th, 2019 for a long time and several times. His behavior allegedly deviated strikingly from that of an average museum visitor.
