Police are looking for man who robbed woman of 15,000 euros in her savings

The police are looking for the man who robbed a 28-year-old woman from Eindhoven of a bag containing all her savings: more than 15,000 euros. She was met and threatened with a knife.

The robbery happened on the night of Saturday 19 to Sunday 20 August on the Boschdijk, near the Salt & Pepper restaurant. A man sprayed a corrosive liquid in the woman’s face, threatened her with a knife and roughly took her bag. The victim suffered injuries to her chin and elbows. This was announced on Tuesday in the TV program Opsporing Verzocht.

The woman had only lived in the Netherlands for a year and a half and is used to keeping her savings with her. She was carrying a bag from the Guess brand with a wallet from the same brand, containing more than 15,000 euros in savings.

The perpetrator appeared to be consciously waiting for the victim
According to the police, the perpetrator may have known that the woman had money with him, because he seemed to be consciously waiting for her. The man has a dark complexion, is estimated to be around 30 years old and is approximately 1.75 meters tall. That night he wore a blue track jacket with a Nike logo and white shoes with a red stripe. The police are asking witnesses to come forward.
