Police are looking for a witness in the case of a man who was shot dead in Buchten 1Limburg

The police are looking for a ‘possibly important’ witness in the investigation into the 43-year-old deceased man who was found Thursday at a garage in Buchten. The man was killed in a shooting.

On Friday, the police could not yet indicate whether the man had actually died at the Sint Catharinahof as a result of a crime. On the basis of an autopsy, the police have now definitively established that this is the case.

Composition drawing
Police have released a composite drawing of the possible witness. “The police want to get in touch with him urgently.”

The man would have been present on Thursday at the parking spaces at the intersection of Kerkvonderen and Sint Catharinahof. According to the police, he could therefore, possibly unconsciously, be an important witness.

Alert
The man is probably between 50 and 60 years old, about 1.80 meters tall and of ‘robust build’. He has brown eyes, prominent eyebrows, black hair, a broad nose and wrinkles. He was wearing a dark cap and blue jeans with black stripes down the front, police said. He also wore a wide black belt and a dark summer jacket with a striking collar and black shoes.

Neighborhood Survey
The police continued with the neighborhood investigation on Saturday and want to secure CCTV images of the area. “The aim is to get as clear a picture as possible of the victim’s last movements.” People with possible information about the case are also asked to report to the police.
