On and around the Markermeer, a search has been going on all evening for a missing 72-year-old woman from Monnickendam. The emergency services are searching along the dike from Monnickendam to Marken and on Hemmeland.
At the end of the afternoon, the daughter-in-law of the missing woman already shared the message via social media that her mother-in-law is gone. “Who happened to see my mother-in-law today. She may be confused, she has been gone since 12 noon. Please contact us or the police.”

The KNRM, fire brigade and police have been looking for the woman all evening. Earlier a Burgernet message was issued. It concerns a 72-year-old white woman with dark blond hair. She is 1.57 meters tall, wears black pants and a blue sweater. She was wearing pink sneakers just before she went missing. Anyone who finds her can call the police on 112.
