The DSI (Special Interventions Service) raided a business premises on Exportweg in Tynaarlo on Wednesday evening.
This was reported by police spokesperson Anne Kok.
This is a wholesaler in catering and food products. Kok does not want to say anything about the reason for the raid. “We are searching the property, but in the interest of the investigation we cannot provide any information about the reason for the raid.”
Bulletproof vests
The police have temporarily closed off the area surrounding the building. Officers wear bulletproof vests. Bystanders report that there are at least 15 police officers around the building.
Detectives are investigating and, according to Kok, this will continue on Thursday.
Drug lab found last year
Earlier in the evening, officers stopped a vehicle on Groningerstraat in nearby De Punt. It is unknown whether there is a connection between the two actions.
A drug lab was found in the same warehouse last May by the FIOD and the police.
