Berlin: Serious accident with the police car in Kreuzberg – baby and an inmate in the hospital

In Kreuzberg there was a serious accident between a Mercedes and a police car in the evening. A baby and another person were injured.

At around 8:10 p.m., a police car and a Mercedes crashed into each other at the corner of Oranienstrasse and Adalbertstrasse. According to initial findings, a baby and an inmate were injured in the Mercedes. The officers in the emergency vehicle escaped with a fright.

The two injured were treated on site by an emergency doctor and paramedics and then transported to hospitals. The fire brigade was on site with 14 emergency services, including paramedics, an emergency doctor and a fire brigade operations manager.

A traffic offenses department is now investigating how the accident happened. The intersection is closed for investigations until further notice. Several bus routes are also affected.
