During a routine check, the police on Tuesday encountered a truck loaded with drug lab boilers and chemicals. This happened on the Turnhoutsebaan in Goirle, near the border with Belgium.
The 39-year-old driver, a man from Tilburg, has been arrested and is in jail. The police are investigating further.
According to a spokesman, there was no special reason to pick the truck out for the check. “It was a random sample of agents.” Customs was also not involved.
