Vice European champion Bo Kanda Lita Baehre (23) and Co. will fight for the national pole vault title in Düsseldorf this summer – and not at the actual German championships in Kassel (July 8th and 9th).
This was announced by the German Athletics Association (DLV) on Friday. The pole vault competitions for men and women will be held as part of the “Finals 2023” on the banks of the Rhine in Düsseldorf.
“In coordination with the TV partners ARD and ZDF, Finals GmbH, the DLV, the Hessian Athletics Association (HLV) and the city of Kassel and with the involvement of athletes and trainers and the pole vault strongholds, this decision was made met in order to focus on athletics in Düsseldorf and to offer the athletes an individual media presence,” said DLV President Jürgen Kessing.
