phew! Labor victory for the polar bears in Bietigheim. At the Steelers, the Berliners managed a 5-2 win in front of 2173 fans. After four defeats in a row, the polar bears stop their series of bankruptcies.
Goalscorer Manuel Wiederer, who made it 3-1 in the 49th minute: “A very important win and a step forward. We also want to win the next three games before the Germany Cup break.” Other goals for the Berliners: Fiore (8th), Clark (28th) and Boychuk (56th/57th).
Before the game, striker Leo Pföderl demands: “Everything has to get better.” But it only works in part. Because until well into the final third it is a very tight game for the weakened Steelers. Again and again, serious defense weaknesses in Berlin are striking. The team is completely confused. In goal this time Juho Markkanen for Ancicka. But he also fails again. When Maione made it 1-1 (25th), the Finn made an unfortunate impression. Another goal: Jasper (51st).
