Even after the international break, the polar bears are not on track. In front of 10,138 fans in the MB Arena, they failed against Iserlohn and lost 4-2. On Sunday we go to Mannheim.

The day starts badly. Defender Brandon Guhle (25) does not play. Although he is back in training after suffering a concussion, the Berlin bosses decided that the Canadian would not play.

The polar bears initially have better chances on the ice. But the puck just doesn’t want to go into the net. Iserlohn scores for that. The Roosters walk happily through the Berlin defenses. Ex-polar bear Foucault (6th) and O’Connor (17th) sink the puck in the bear goal. It’s 0:2 at the first break.

It gets worse. Daugavins put the result at 0:3 (26th). Polar bear goalkeeper Tobias Ancicka does not look good. Hope as captain Frank Hördler to make it 1:3 (26th). Marco Nowak at the break: “An important goal.” Melchiori’s 2:3 (46th) is another ray of hope. But outnumbered, Bailey managed to make it 2:4 (55th) – after goalkeeper Ancicka made a positional error.

Problem: The polar bears often come a step too late and are too far away from the opponent in their own third.
