Out in the Champions Hockey League!

Not even 24 hours after the 1: 3 against the San Jose Sharks from the NHL, the Berliners in the CHL are 3: 7 defeated by the top Czech team Mountfield HK from Hradec Kralove. With that, the Berliners are out of the competition. The game in a week in the Czech Republic is irrelevant.

What a crazy game in front of 3108 fans in the Corrugated Blechpalast. After goals from Zach Boychuk (20’/34′) and Matt White (22′) against a goal by Jan Vesely (28′), the polar bears are already 3-1 up. But the Berliners lack the strength. In addition, Frank Hördler, Marco Nowak, Peter Regin and Jan Nijenhuis are injured.

Radek Smolenak (38th) brings the Czechs to 3:2. Excitement before the final third. But the polar bears don’t stand a chance. Jeremie Blain (47th/49th), Kevin Klima (53rd), Lukas Cingel (54th) and Ales Jergl (60th) make the 3:7 swatter perfect.

Already on Friday (7.30 p.m.) the polar bears will continue in the DEL in Ingolstadt.
