Poland’s new policy is shocking: a body mass index limit for women – this is how the sports legend justifies it

Norwegian ski jumper Maren Lundby wondered about the policy of the Polish Ski Association. The Polish Ski Federation maintains a body mass index (BMI) for its female ski jumpers, within which a ski jumper must be in order to receive funding. Polish journalist Mateusz Lelen revealed on the skijumping.pl website that Polish female ski jumpers receive funding from the ski association if they have a body mass index of 21 or less.
